Tired

I was riding the Hulk rollercoaster over the weekend, and as I counted inversions (there are 7) (I always have counted, it’s pretty intense) I wondered when I would be too old to ride roller coasters. I looked around as I got off – Keith and I were by far the oldest people on our particular run. I definitely didn’t need to jump right back in line, like I used to, but I enjoyed it.

We didn’t break any records with our steps this weekend. Over 20,000 each day, because the parks aren’t that big and we waited in lines for a while several times, but not more than 25,000 any day. Taking the train between parks also cuts down walking. We each had our biggest step day ever in Paris Disneyland – over 38,000 (over 15 miles).

We watched movies on the plane, and got home before midnight. Writing yesterday’s POTD took a while, then I read for a bit after I got in bed. I woke up and the clock said 7:52. I yelled, “Keith, you have to be at the dentist in 8 minutes.” Nope. Standard time had not come to my clock yet. He had an hour and eight minutes. Apparently, he made it on time, but the dentist couldn’t fix the owie-ness that has plagued him for the past week, because it is a gum issue and not a tooth issue. Darn.

I slept through the appointment. I slept through him coming home. I slept through most of the morning. I was up and showered by 11. Woohoo! We made lunch. He went back to work and I said I was going to sit in the recliner and read my really good book. I think I read 4 pages. I decided to take nap. The overhead light was very bright. There was a washcloth on the couch, because I use a washcloth as a napkin when I eat popcorn and apparently I am a slob, because it was still on the couch from before we went to Florida. I covered up my eyes and woke up at 4:37.

It is 9:01 and I am yawning my way through this writing. I guess I can go to theme parks, but I need a SOLID day of sleep to recover.
