I got us in the virtual queue at 7am. Unfortunately, it was in group 10, so everyone had to wake up a bit earlier than planned to be there shortly after the park opened at 8:30. There is no way to change your time, so if you want to go, you gotta go. We wanted to go. I really enjoyed the ride – way more than I did last August. I guess my low expectations put me in the right frame of mind. Wheeee.
We went on the people mover after Tron, since there was no line and it is always a good ride through Tomorrowland. One of the best parts is when you go into Space Mountain and can make out tiny bits of the ride. I was looking and looking and looking and could absolutely see NOTHING. No tiny lights, no little planets, no anything. As we progressed through the dark, I could hear the ride sounds…after longer than it should have taken, I realized they were coming from the wrong side. I turned my head away from where I had been searching and saw what I was looking for. I had been looking at a wall. Huh. Seems I ALWAYS sit in the car facing forward and today I was on the other side. Things were reversed. 🙂
We admired Tiana’s Bayou – opening soon, but not soon enough. The logs were going down the hill, but there was no water on the hill. Will there be no water? Inquiring minds want to know. Or, they will know some day and that will be soon enough.
After an early P Bill’s lunch, we ran into a bear. Daniel obliged with a polite photobomb. It is so good to know when you have influenced those around you positively.
We ran into the band just as they started their set. There were all new trumpet players but one – they weren’t as good as usual (according to someone not me) – but he sure looked happy watching them.
We got on all the things we wanted to get on, and then got on them again. We had a snack before heading back to the hotel during the heat of the afternoon. Keith had pineapple, guava, and orange juice over coconut Dole whip. Delicious.
We napped back at the room before we went to Sebastian Joe’s for dinner. It was just so good the other night, we had to share with Daniel and Amanda. They liked it, too. We reordered salad and beef twice, and had two desserts. Our evening after dinner back in the park was filled with rides, but also plenty of time to wander along and enjoy the park.
After we got off the bus back at the park, we realized the humidity had disappeared. WHAT Disney magic was this? We did not know – did not think it possible, and were DELIGHTED.
Some people are very good at taking selfies. Only some people.
Amanda hasn’t stayed at the Boardwalk before, so she has not been introduced to the terrifying chairs. Daniel demonstrated how to sit on them. She chose not to participate in the sitting activity.
