We had an impromptu party tonight! It’s about the best thing you can do. Jeffrey was coming over to borrow a trumpet and Keith encouraged him to bring Adalynn and Johanna. My friend Maren texted asking if she could pop in for a chat while her daughter was at the high school for basketball (we live conveniently close to the high school) and then it was a party! Adalynn was the entertainment, and everyone got two cinnamon jujube hearts for refreshments.
Adalynn charmed us when she discovered pockets. She got several rubber duckies in the pockets of her overalls, but the best was when she figured out that her favorite item (a small square of dental floss) fit in the bib pocket of her pants. In, out, in, out. Then she missed and it went down her pants. Her expression while she wiggled until it fell out the bottom was fabulous. The funniest part of the evening was when Adalyn took the remote control and ordered a trial subscription of Amazon music on the TV. We all watched her do it. It is apparently very easy to do. Keith got an email welcoming him to Amazon music for his free trial. It is nice that it is free.
