It was Benjamin and Sean’s anniversary on Sunday, and it is our anniversary on Friday, and today Benjin and Sean went off to be part of their friends’ wedding. Sean is a bridesmaid and Benjamin was the officiant. The wedding is over, so Benjin was the officiant; the reception is still ongoing, so Sean is the bridesmaid. That is how I picked my mismatched verb tenses within one sentence.
And our anniversary was on Tuesday (#48). I’m sure not ALL the fun people got married in May – but for sure some of MY favorites….
