Remember Keith’s concert last week with the outstanding singer? We went to see his dance show tonight. It was REALLY good and then really not so good. It needed an editor.
There were 15 people in the cast and every single one of them was VERY talented. It was primarily a tap dance show, and those dancers were stellar. The musicians were absolutely top notch (the trumpet player was from the Shaun Johnson band a few weeks ago). The continuity of the show … lacked… continuity. It didn’t really make any sense and some of the parts that were supposed to connect the individual acts went on a bit too long and several were just a bit confusing.
I enjoyed it, because most of it was great. After a while, I gave up trying to figure out the in-between parts and made lists in my head while they were going on…and on.
The GPS got us lost on the way there (to a parking ramp we’ve never used). It wanted us to go down the light rail track a little bit, I think. Keith figured it out on his own. If I was driving, we would have just had to go home.
