What a great day. We had a little present for Tom and Louise and asked to stop by, saying we didn’t have to stay long. Their response was come any time and stay long.
We stayed long. We stayed the whole day! They got us a great new game, which we played twice. I was reading the directions aloud, thinking to myself – I don’t think I get this (I didn’t)…I think it will make sense when we start (it did)…Oh, I don’t think that part will be important (it was). We were midway through the first game and I threw my hands up and said, “I GET IT.” It really wasn’t very hard, but the wheels were turning slowly this afternoon. It really is quite simple to learn and is different than any game I’ve played. I highly recommend it, in case you are looking for a last-minute gift idea.
We stayed long enough for them to feed us delicious ham (literally melt in your mouth good) and biscuits and corn and (such very, very good) salad.
We are so lucky to have such wonderful people for friends!!
