We got tickets for a Disney music concert by the Minnesota Orchestra months ago. It was scheduled to have video to go with the music, without it being “just” a soundtrack to a movie. It sounded really good.
Then After Hours Big Band (that Keith plays in) got an opportunity to play at the Jazz Crawl in Eau Claire for the annual jazz festival – the exact same time as the concert. I couldn’t go alone, because I can’t drive (outside of Woodbury, or at night) and it seemed a lot to ask someone to take me. We found out that we could return the tickets for credit. Win. We will always find another concert to attend. Disappointing, but sometimes, that’s the way.
Daniel texted about 4:00 this afternoon and asked if I wanted to go to an orchestra concert. I did! Amanda was peopled out and wanted a quiet evening. Daniel came all the way over to Woodbury to get me (that you, Daniel!) and off we went. (I was wearing my newly-arrived-from-Japan 25th Jubilee spirit jersey! How Disney!) We met his co-worker (Marina from Ukraine) and all three enjoyed the concert. The suite of deep cuts from villainous moments was my favorite, but it was all really good. I am so lucky to have gotten to go. Thank you, Daniel!
