Have you ever wondered what that means? Does it mean half the places (what places? Anyone hearing the report? I don’t know) will get rain, or that all the places will get rain half of the time, or that it might rain or might not rain with equal probability? Today, Alexander’s house and our house had 50% rain. It rained on on on on off on off on on off at our house this morning, enough to gain 1.25″ in the rain gauge before noon. It did not rain at Alexander’s house at all. fifty percent of our houses got rain. Bam.
Donna, Michael, Keith, and I went to see How to Train Your Dragon tonight. A Saturday night movie!! What is that about? Who does that? Apparently, pretty many people because most of the seats were sold. We all thought it was great. Donna didn’t like Hiccup’s hair and I loved it. I thought a bunch of times – I love his hair.
We got home and were talking about the movie with Benjamin when it started to RAIN. We had some wind and the front window water feature (we assume it is brought to us by overfilled gutters) was really going. It is just beautiful, if you do not think about the fact that that much water sliding down the front of the house could very easily be collecting in the crawl space. We wouldn’t even know, because the entry to the crawl space is behind a refrigerator and we don’t go there. I am sticking with beautiful. There is water sliding down the glass but also running in a curtain about 6 inches beyond the glass. It was not raining at Alexander’s house. Not one drop today and we got 2″.
Huh.
