A room with a view

Two weeks ago, Keith realized we had an expiring companion ticket on Delta. He sent a text while I was at school asking if I wanted to go to Disneyland. Yes. Yes, I did. Today we flew to California. Yay.

Our room is literally touching the backside of California Adventure. Carsland is riiiiight there! You can see a bit of the Incredicoaster and the scary Mickey Wheel of Terror Ferris wheel. We are feeling very special.

I developed an awesome plan this week. I figured out that if we upgraded our three day tickets to an annual pass, we could come back and ride and enjoy for not so much more. I was quite excited. We were stepping out to walk to the ticket booths to do our big upgrade when Keith read that annual pass sales are currently suspended. The darned local people around here buy up too many annual passes. It’s a weird problem to have. They have a least-expensive pass that is for CA residents only. Why don’t they have a cheap-ish one for far away people who promise to only come a couple weeks/year? I better send them a letter and explain it. It will be good.

We wandered around Downtown Disney, which was fun. The evening had a snap of cool, but not enough to makes shorts and a sleeveless shirt be a problem. We shopped and shopped and found cute things. Keith was ready to buy, buy, buy. Silly man. We must look at EVERYTHING first.

The restaurants were very busy. We read all the menus and nothing grabbed our attention. I suggested we walk across the street to Tony Roma’s. There was no waiting and we saved a lot of money by eating steak, ribs, and chicken not made by Disney. It was all very good.

I can’t tell time anymore. That is kinda funny because I seriously made fun of some people playing the gameshow The Floor who couldn’t tell time just last week. I have looked at my phone clock (digital) several times today, then a bit later checked again…and realized I MUST have read something wrong because it was then earlier than it had been, or several hours had passed in ten minutes. It’s kinda cool – fluid time. We have to go to sleep now, whenever it is, because we have to get up super early to eat breakfast, walk to the park, be there before it opens for rope drop, and start using our lightning lanes. LIGHTNING LANES! Don’t they sound grand? They let you go in a shorter line. Disney is hard work. At least here is not nearly the work Disneyworld is. By the time you are reading this, we will be hustling to the park. My doctor will be so proud of all my walking.

Halloween party was tonight at California Adventure

Cute windows

a potion looking window made me want to go in there and eat or drink whatever was going on

oh! The choices!!

This shirt is glittery. And it has a castle.

This lady’s shirt was just sparkling as we walked through the semi-dark. I ran (Ha! me! running!) (She was older than me, so I caught her) so I could look at it and covet it. I did a good job.

  1. I read it tonight, well on Sunday since I am in the same time zone. Many nights I read it at 1001 pm PST. Some nights it is not posted then. Tonight I thought it wouldn’t be up because it is 1015 pm.. almost 2 hours left in the day. But you came from MN today and your clock is messed it. Monday will be better. 😘
