I got up at 10:30. Yay! Keith didn’t appear until 11. We were already winning the day after a very busy several days. We were all doing the early day phone-look-at when Nancy’s phone rang. It was Karen. She was bringing us kringle. It had come up yesterday that we hadn’t had any kringle for breakfast and Karen said she had lots. She took a trip to Racine just for best kringle. She arrived soon with a sampling of three special Christmas flavors. We started gobbling immediately.
Karen was on her way to pick up Liz’s dogs for the day. Liz has two young dogs and is fostering a puppy for Christmas. Nancy and I enticed Karen to stay a bit with an offer of Rummikub. She is so good at it – it’s fun to play with her. We played several rounds. I went out once. Ha!
She said she had to get going to the dogs, but I got out chips and dip. It was 3:30 by the time she left. Then we all napped. Perfect day after Christmas.
