Back an hour to go forward an hour

Our flight left half an hour before Gary and Julie’s. Our second plane, out of Atlanta, was delayed an hour, so we had plenty of time to visit the lounge. The food situation was strange. There was a nice salad bar set up, with 4-inch plates. Tricky. There was plain rice. Huh. There was chicken noodle soup with little cardboard bowls. Okay. There were tiny peach cobbler jars, some with just cobbler. I ate a ton of wasabi stuff – tiny crackers, peas, and whatnot. It was probably more fun than if it had just been fill-your (regular sized)-plate.

I started the movie After the Hunt with Julia Roberts. It was so boring that I quit after about 15 minutes. I tried Blue Moon, the Lorenz Hart biopic. I kept watching long after it turned odd and sad. On the second flight I watched Regretting You. It was bad. Muddled plot turned into repeated over and over plot (THIS is what is happening), horrible dialog, emotions demonstrated by throwing hands in the air and stomping feet. There was a cute boyfriend I thought was better than everyone else. I had to look him up and found out he was Hiccup from the live action How to Train Your Dragon. After I learned that, it was super obvious, because he looked just the same as he did in that movie. Duuuh.

Alexander picked us up and we had Noodles for dinner. The men’s macaroni and cheese was really good, but my Japanese pan noodles were a bit dry. We watched Survivor from Wednesday and now I am ready for sleep. Weird, because the clock says 9:35. I know it is 10:35 eastern time, and when we spring the clocks forward here, it will be 10:35, but that is still awfully early to be sleepy. I definitely should have slept through at least one of those bad movies.
