I got paid for doing nothing today. Wooohoooo. My first two hours were prep. This teacher does data support and gets two prep periods. I win. The 7th grade science classes were working on making stop motion videos of some process (predator/prey, photosynthesis, meitosis, and the like) they learned about this year. I could not love that activity more. They have to create their set and their characters and carefully take pictures to create something. All four classes were working hard on it and were easy to be with. I just walked around and had kids explain their ideas to me and watch their ideas turn into reality.
One group in 6th hour was doing something with survival of the fittest (Did you know Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin were born on the same day? Not just the same day of the year – same actual day? I love that. What a day!) and were showing camouflage protecting some animals. I camouflaged a butterfly on the front wall of the room (potd). I did something!
Zero boxes unpacked, but Benjin and I did sit in the hot tub.
Great job of camouflage. I had to expand the potd to find it.
Choices make life interesting: Unpack boxes or sit in the hot tub? There’s no question here. You made the right choice. 😀
Louise… It took me FOREVER to find it. Good job, Barbara!
OH, and remember, if you guys get bored unpacking YOUR boxes, you can always go next door and help Rob and Maren unpack THEIR boxes! Just sayin’….
