Cinderella, Emma, and Levi

We went to the Phipps to see the ballet company do Cinderella. They were very good – particularly Cinderella (what pretty arms!!) and the godmother-ish character. The stepsisters were funny using no words, which is quite a feat. I took an illegal picture. I looked all around and no one else was taking a random picture, so I couldn’t say “everyone else was” but I decided to just lift my phone, click, and put it away. That was totally wrong. I feel a bit sad I did that, but I did it, so here is the picture.

We went from there to Menomonie to pick up niece, Emma, and husband of Emma, Levi. As their celebration of our 40th year they invited us to go to my favorite supper club – Wissota High Shores in Chippewa Falls. The men had prime rib and the women had filets – I thought that was very supper clubby. Emma and Levi did the Wisconsin supper club kind of thing and had old-fashioneds. I had a wonderful time. We were right by the salad bar and we enjoyed watching the people go through, and we could hop up at any time and get seconds and thirds and fourths. I had my traditional appetizer salad, regular dinner salad, and dessert salad. Emma and Levi tried to get blueberry crumble cheesecake, but it was sold out. They switched (disappointedly) to the churro – then realized they won. The churro was ice cream crossed with two cream cheese filled churros, caramel sauce and whipped cream. Levi thought it was better than the cheesecake. Emma said he didn’t have the cheesecake, so how could he know. He said he just did. I believed him.
