Keith went to a band recording thing all day with a cookout evening, so I had the run of TWO houses today. Trooper and I hung out on the pool deck for a while in the morning. I threw the Frisbee once. He took it and hid it from me way in the corner by the shed. Then he said we should go in. I did all the morning phone-looking while he barked at people in the cul-de-sac. I say, “Trooper, NO!” and he does not care. He indicates I can say that as often as I like and he will not mind. I went home for showering and eating. I dug through the swimsuit box until I found one that is not old and extra droopy. Trooper came out to hang out with me while I floated in the pool. I floated and he walked around. I got out and found the Frisbee (he forgot where he hid it) and we did Frisbee for about an hour and a half. I got a lot of steps in because he jumps and catches the Frisbee but only partially brings it back to me. He got tired. I got tired. He went in for a nap and I floated a bit more.

I went to Alexander’s to visit the kitties because he is gone this weekend.

I washed their water fountain because it was not very clean, then I could not get it to work. I got a lot of water on the floor trying to fix it. Colby was right there with me, willing to help with whatever jobs I gave him. After way too long, I figured it out. Sophie fought the fuzzy worm on a fishing pole for quite a while.

I set off for home, and the car started making a high-pitched squealy sound. I went to Carla and Mark’s (not too far). Mark diagnosed it as okay to drive; the brakes have a built-in dealie that will make a sound when you should have the brakes looked at. It’s like an idiot light on the dash, but audible and scarier.

Jeffrey, Johanna, Adalynn and Mousie came over to have evening swimming. It was glorious. The water felt warm, but so did the air. We were in for over two hours. I love having a pool. 🙂
