I stayed up late, reading. Late. Keith had a 9am rehearsal. I woke up before he left at 8am and we chatted. I played some phone games and read a little. Then I tried to go back to sleep. Success! I woke up at 11 – the time the rehearsal ended. I continued my playing-on-my-phone until I got a text. It was from Daniel, “Free for lunch?”
What could be better than that?
We met Daniel and Amanda and his parents, Barb and Mike, at Wayback Burger. Such good chatting and catching up. Just one of those great meals when cheese curds and tots are shared and the conversation never lags. We got home and I realized I hadn’t taken a picture!
I texted Daniel my error. “I did think as we were leaving, ‘Huh, usually Barbara would snap a photo for the blog.’ But the company was so good that we didn’t think about creating content – we were living in the moment!”
Truer words!! I suggested they submit a potd, since they anchored the day’s funtivity. They sent the potd with the message “By the way! DQ app. $0.85 small blizzard with additional $1 purchase.”
I said we’d be on our way shortly and we were. That was dinner.
