I started Mounjaro today for my diabetes. I did not know it costs $1100/month. I was completely freaked out. Keith said my health was worth it. I am not sure. That is SO MUCH. I have a month’s worth to use, so I will do three more shots into my tummy. It didn’t hurt a bit. Maybe it will do awesome things for my blood sugar. Fingers crossed.

Our new washer and dryer came today. We immediately rewashed the black clothes that were left yucky by the bad washer and they came out clean! Hurray! The new washer and dryer are flat on top giving us entirely new places to set things! I tell ya – life is good.

We sisters went to Barnes and Noble to get Nancy’s book club book. What a treat it was to go to a bookstore. It’s been a while. They have really made the store in Woodbury nice since I was there. It started off pretty sterile. Afterwards, we went to Kowalski’s to buy me new socks for my birthday. Kowalski’s has the best softest socks. I now have three pair. I am living large. It is very exciting. My new socks are yellow and all the other colors.

We went to Hazelwood for dinner. Everyone ordered right. I had a sun-in-my-eyes time for a bit, but I zig-zagged and did okay. I told the sisters I couldn’t really see them. They didn’t quite get it until I took a picture.

We all wore grey shirts on purpose, and I forgot to take a picture of us together. Darn.

After last night’s West Side Story, which was pretty average (except for the exceptional band) (and it is definitely not Donna’s favorite show), we decided to go again. Teehee. They had A/B casting and we were curious how it would be with another cast in the lead parts. Keith got free tickets for the orchestra after he had already purchased our original tickets, so we could go for free this time. We figured we could leave at intermission, but we didn’t want to. We were up in the balcony this time – not as almost-in-the-orchestra as we were last night, so the balance was way better. I liked last night’s cast and Donna liked tonight’s. Isn’t that interesting?

The sisters got cold during intermission when the A/C kicked on.

We walked around the university a bit again tonight and found a senior art show in a gallery. There had been an open house earlier.

There were still lemon bars. I thought that was amazing.

College friends were there and recognized Keith’s name in the program. The kid playing Tony was a student of theirs, so they came to the show. We haven’t seen them in just over 20 years. They look the same. We do not. Last time we saw them they looked exactly the same and we did not. They did not recognize or remember us last time. It was pretty awkward and also hilarious. They remembered us tonight. Huh.

  2. Those folks sure do look familiar – but it’s more than 40 years. Were they music people? Other comment: you have great sisters.
