Today is really a birthday day! I said the 23rd was a big day, but today is the real winner! Aunt Margaret, cousin Mary Ann, Jerry, Dan, and a very nice lady wearing an It’s my 98th birthday button I met in St. Paul today all have birthdays today! Happiness to all!!
I went riding on the Paddleford boat today with my friends, Patty and Michelle. They both retired from Armstrong Elementary School this May and are getting ready to not go back to work next week! Oh! It’s Michelle’s dad’s birthday today, too! We had a great time chatting as the boat went up and down the river. Patty was just up in Detroit Lakes hunting trolls, so she was happy to hear about our adventures in Denmark. She has a driving trip this fall that ends with a drive home from Texas. I said Iowa was definitely on the way!!
I know eagles are not really rare around here, but I never get tired of seeing them.
We met Alexander for Tono so we could get boxes to take to Benjamin for packing to move. He filled up our car nicely. Keith was a little worried that we had no room for a suitcase. I pointed out we have boxes.
We stopped at Cub for a few things and saw that Oreo really got into the swing of our NOLA trip.
And this is the best named soda of ever. They had Werewolf and Jack-o-lantern too, but ghost face punch cannot be beaten.
Keith got a new phone and a new shirt. They both match our bedroom walls.
AND did you know that yesterday was also the birthday of Mike Lindsay, Sean Connery, Leonard Bernstein, and Mad King Ludwig (of Bavaria), as well as (not special at all) Erich Honecker (nasty president of East Germany)? Thanks for the birthday smile!!
