I loved it! Apparently, it is the movie that almost wasn’t. Warner Brothers made it and decided to throw it away instead of adding advertising costs to it. Just throw it away. That is an interesting concept to me. Spend $70million on it, decide it’s not worth an extra $30million to release, and throw it away. Coyote fans put up a fuss and complained and picketed or posted or did things, and WB offered to sell it. A distribution company called Ketchup, Inc (or something with Ketchup in it) bought it for $50million and released it.
I’m so glad they did. I am not really a Coyote fan, but I thought why not go? I’m so glad I did. It is a very clever movie – it has a great storyline and just perfectly balances goofy cartoons and real heart. Go see it.
I have to mention that we had Wickert Game Night on the calendar for today. Ooooooof.
