This spider was in our backyard. He was very large. I was not a big fan. He had a pretty web, though. Now he is gone. I hope he is not in my house, because then I would have to move.
There was a spider in my classroom today. I was just hanging out in pre-Algebra and a girl said, “Aaahhhh, there’s a big spider!” It was pretty big, but not backyard big. Everyone watched while I had to get it. I threw a Kleenex down and tried to step on it. It ran away from the Kleenex. I missed it the second time I threw the Kleenex. Third time I got him. Smash. Discard. I felt a bit bad because spiders are good helpers even while being terrifying.
Other than the spider, it was a super fun day in math. I had a ton of kids that I knew from last year and they were all happy to see me. A lot of them came in and started yelling out the answers to my random questions to win the taking-the-attendance-to-the-office prize. Your son juggled Doritos for a long time! Your favorite fruit is raspberries! You go to DisneyWorld so much! You were born in Alaska! (Not all of my facts are true, but they are consistent. It was so much more fun to guess Alaska than Wisconsin. Wisconsin is so next door.)
The teacher I sub most often for moved rooms all the way across the school this summer and was next door to me today. I went in at lunch and asked a question, then left to use the restroom. I turned the direction I should have from her old room and was lost. Bam. Nothing was right. I just stood there looking up and down the hall, wondering where in the world I was for about 8 seconds. I laughed out loud when I realized. I love entertaining myself.

For a moment I was wondering why I didn’t know you were born in Alaska!🤣
And I only lived there for 3 months! I remember nothing 🙂
