Oh, the weather outside is frightful

I came out of school today and everything was icy. I had to use the corner of the snow scraper to break into the ice on the driver’s window and slowly chip away. The windshield didn’t surrender at all. I am not tall enough to get any leverage, and it was so cold and windy I just turned the defrost on high and sat and read until things loosened up. I also called Keith and suggested he try to change our tickets for The Wiz in Minneapolis tonight to tomorrow or Sunday. He was able to switch. I slid home as carefully as possible (some roads were totally fine and others were NOT) and we were in for the night. Kinda fun. I was supposed to work tomorrow, but it got cancelled and I couldn’t be happier. We did holiday tasks and watched TV and had no stress at all. Yay!

I saw a picture of cookies like the POTD and sent it to my sister, Nancy. She was inspired and made this beautiful, tasty treat for book club. I am hoping she makes one for me for Christmas. I love her cut-out cookies best!
