Packing

Today was packing day. We don’t leave until Sunday, but I was determined to get everything done like we are leaving tomorrow. We have to leave very early Sunday, we have friends gathering for dinner tomorrow, as well as a show to go to tomorrow night. I need the suitcases done!

I thought I would get up and do the laundry before I went to donate blood. I did not.

I went to donate blood at the Woodbury Estates Senior Living Center. Apparently, it has been between the nursing home on the corner and Woodbury High School for the past 32+ years and I had never really noticed. It’s not like I have driven down that road 10,000 times, but I have. I said where I was going and both Keith and Benjamin just looked at me. “There is something between school and the nursing home?” Apparently, it is a very stealth building.

(Can you see it? Apparently, not everyone can) I got home and Benjamin, Keith, and I went to Taco John’s for lunch. People need to eat.

We wrangled the laundry, then Benjamin suggested heading to Maren’s hot tub because his back was doing the thing it does that is not great. He is home for a juggling weekend, so a bad back time would not be good. We headed over for a bit of a soak and returned four hours later. It was a good chat and a good soak.

Keith and Benjamin went out for Greek food and I did a little mending. We watched Jeopardy (Invitational tournament) and started gathering stuff to pack at 9pm. By 10:10, I lost interest. Some things are folded. Some things are gathered. I really only work under pressure. I’m going to bed.

Here’s a bonus picture from Benjamin hanging out at Alexander’s house yesterday. He was chosen.
