We were set to go home today when I heard from the teacher I was scheduled to sub for tomorrow. She was going to her daughter’s and her daughter got COVID, so she cancelled her trip and me. Wheee! Keith thought we would just go home anyway. Silly Keith. We got tickets to see my cousin Sam in a play instead!
It was a thumpy heart day so I spent most of the day in bed. At one point I peeked over and saw Benjamin and Oatmeal working.

The play was called Primary Trust – a duality of the bank where the main character worked and his issues of abandonment/trust. Sam played several roles and it was such fun to see him on stage. In all the plays that we see, we never know anyone on stage. I think it was good that Sam wasn’t the main character because that would have been very distracting.
We stayed for the talk back. Quite a few people asked questions, but all I thought was “I know that guy. He’s my cousin.” I was thinking I should probably raise my hand and let people know (😁) when Keith raised his hand. ! I twisted in my seat to look at him, thinking “you don’t have to tell people Sam is my cousin.” He asked the main character what it was like to be on stage from start to finish (no intermission). It was a better question than everyone else’s question.
We visited with Sam afterwards, then headed back to Benjamin’s for some Ted Lasso. We are enjoying watching with him as he sees it for the first time.
