I found my scratch off world map and thought I would update all the new countries we have had the opportunity to visit since we moved – and some from before. It is a harder-to-scratch-off-the-stuff map than you would expect. I had previously tried a variety of things (coins, knives, dish scrubbers, anything else I could find) with very little luck. Some scratched off the picture below the scratch-off stuff (worst) and some didn’t scratch off anything (bad). I found the perfect thing today – the rounded back end of a metal measuring spoon. I scratched off the big island of Hawaii, the rest of Brazil (after I gave up after the Brazil trip and it was too hard to get anything off), Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, and Japan. I could have done Andorra, but it isn’t on the map (and all of Spain was already uncovered).
I had an idea about going to Australia and New Zealand yesterday and that part of the map is pretty covered up yet. It would look good scratched off.

I loved New Zealand!
As we plan you can give us tips!
Perhaps an Axe Man spive would be the perfect scratch off tool.
Oh. My. Goodness. I wish I had one to try!
