My sight is getting way better. If I look down, like to write or read, there is a big spot covering most of my vision. It is black on the edges and a magnifying glass in the middle. The magnifying glass isn’t the right amount of magnification for what you want to see, and the whole circle wobbles and jiggles nonstop, BUT if I sit up mostly straight with my head a little tipped back (ala a reclining movie theater seat) I can SEE (with bonus blurs and stripes of lights). That seems pretty great, so we went to the movies. We saw Running Man with Glen Powell. I don’t recall every seeing the original, so I can’t compare, but I really enjoyed it. It had lots of excitement (fair number of heads exploding) so neither Keith nor I fell asleep. I think Glen Powell owes me a bit of credit for his current success in Hollywood. Quite a while ago, I saw him in something and said, “that guy is in a lot of things, I think. I like him.” I think that just got things started for him.

I texted with my friend, Betsy, yesterday because she sent a lovely get-well card that her husband signed Happy Birthday. There were some additional notes made after that happened and I understood it in an instant. Betsy gives Dave card, says sign it for Barbara, and he kindly does more than just write his name – except whoops. I laughed out loud – such a great laugh – and as we all know, laughter is the best medicine. She sent medicine right in the card! Total win. The card mentioned the possibility of a hot fudge sundae and tonight she took me OUT FOR A HOT FUDGE SUNDAE!! Keith has been an absolute HERO taking care of me and of everything else, but it was so exciting to TALK to someone else. A girl! Real chatting. Yay.
