We went to Open Window’s production of The Giver tonight. The book is a middle school staple. The play very closely follows the book. It had some really excellent set pieces that allowed for shadows to appear as ideas are talked about by the characters. The utilitarian set had projections…um…projected to significantly (and sometimes jarringly) change the setting. It was all cool. I liked it a lot.
Open Window has the best lobby. I played Yahtzee against myself during intermission while sitting by the fireplace.
