It’s my birthday! I am 63, born in 1963. It’s my golden year birthday! If that isn’t a thing, it is now. I did not realize it – the sisters told me.
I went to teach algebra today and took many, many pounds of tootsie rolls and airheads to share a birthday treat with all the kids. I really enjoyed it – and that was the point!

Nancy and Donna arrived at 5, bringing Usinger jalapeno cheddar brats and pretzel buns. We had them at Nancy’s last summer and I commented that that meal was so good, it could be my birthday dinner. Nancy remembered!

They also brought an angel food cake with whipped cream and heath bar frosting. Perfect!!

I failed blowing. One stayed lit. Aaaaugghhh.

This is Nancy’s first trip to our new house, so it was fun to show her around. It doesn’t seem like a new house anymore to me, so it is fun to realize she doesn’t even know where the bedrooms are.
Keith turned on the Valentine’s pictures on the art TV. These sisters are closely inspecting a picture of a big heart shaped box of candy. They think it has cheese in it. Cheese and something else weird that I can’t remember. I got a little bit closer, and it might be cheese. That is a super weird box of chocolates. I went away.

Sounds like another perfect birthday! Another great year in the books… Today it’s time to start another!
