There is so much Halloween at Disneyland that it makes you feel like you are celebrating a big deal holiday – a whole holiday season.. It was nice to go from Disney Halloween straight into real Halloween.
I went to school dressed as the word of the year – six seven. I learned about the word of the year thing today. I was originally just dressed as a distraction or disruption. Yay. The kids were out of their minds about my shirt. I was invited by the pod of teachers I was subbing in to join in – we all had 67 shirts and it was great fun. We DO NOT celebrate holidays at school, so this was NOT a costume. It was a t-shirt.
I was walking down the hall after lunch and I saw this dinosaur outside. I walked back to my room, got my phone, and took a picture. I have no explanation.
We had about 50 trickertreaters – the last and best being Johanna, Jeffrey, and Adalynn. In the potd, we were heading next door to trickertreat Maren and Adalynn said she was going to keep Daddy’s hat safe from the winds. I love it so much! Walking back, she told that we had a punkin, ghost, and traffic cone in our front window. And we did! Keith’s new Cozy Cone cone was lit up in the window. I was very impressed she knew what a traffic cone was. Apparently, all the construction around facilitates a lot of vocabulary learning.
67 is the Dictionary.com word of the year. My head is trying to get wrapped around the idea that words no longer need letters.
I think it should be sixseven, because 67 looks like sixty seven. And sixseven has letters
And perhaps a hyphen.
