I planned my covid vaccine for yesterday so I could be sick today (no school). I was delighted to wake up feeling fine. It wasn’t too surprising that I sort of sank throughout the morning and spent the rest of the day sleeping and resting. My Bedjet – the thing that warms and cools my bed – was PERFECT for chills and fever time. I warmed up the bed and the chills went away really quickly. I turned the cool on really low and slept through the fever. What a win.
Benjamin introduced Alexander who introduced us to an app called Too Good to Go. Restaurants put up end-of-service mystery bags for anyone to buy through the app. Alexander had a lunch bag of Indian food on Saturday (so good and enough for two meals for $9) as well as pastries at the end of the day. Keith went to a convenience store today and scored our dinner for $4. It was just so much fun to open the bag to see what was inside. I assume this is an alternative to tossing food at the end of its sale-ability, so we are doing a service to the world as well as having fun. Is there anything better? There aren’t very many restaurants taking part in our area yet, but maybe it will increase over time.
There is a lot on the calendar for tomorrow, so I am off to bed to keep feeling better. It’s nice to know this will end as quickly as it started and I am not really sick.

We’ve used that app a couple of times. We learned that Circle K has terrific breakfast sandwiches (who knew?) and the bakery bags from Whole Foods are darn good too.
Love it!
