After playing with Trooper and coloring my hair, Keith went to my friend’s house to fix the hole in the deck. I had volunteered him, and yesterday she said it seemed to be the best way forward. She was happy to wait, but Keith thought it would just be better to get it done.
He is a good fixer and we got breakfast dessert (breassert?) Dilly Bars as a reward. On our way home, I thought of our giant bubble wands (makes giant bubbles. The wands themselves are regular sized. Well. No. I guess they are much bigger than little blow a bubble wands. You get it). I found them and had to make new bubble solution. I danced around the driveway making bubbles for a while, then we took them up to the visiting grandsons at the Doyles.
The boys were sitting on the front porch waiting for Lightning McQueen to charge. They were very concerned we were there to take Lightning home. They were delighted with giant bubbles and it didn’t bother them at all to come close while I made some.
We packed, played with Trooper, then headed off to Wisconsin. We had fish and chicken and the BEST French fries for supper at Nancy’s.
We got a Wisconsin State Fair cream puff, the greatest of all treats.
We visited David, who is doing really well after his heart surgery. We saw the incredible quilt Jayne just made. I can’t even imagine doing such beautiful work. I’m glad I get to see such a beautiful thing. Jayne’s mom has just come to live with them, and it was very nice to see her.
