Tom and Louise took us on an adventure to celebrate our anniversary. We went to the iFly store and flew!!
It was pretty amazing. Our instructor, Donnie, taught us hand signals (it’s very loud in the tunnel, you can’t hear) and how to hold our arms and legs. We suited up, including our full-face helmets. Tom, Louise, and their daughter Stacy all went before me. I somehow didn’t really think I was going to do it until I was actually doing it.
I stood at the doorway to the wind tunnel, put my slightly bent arms over my head, tipped my head back a little and fell into the air. I did not hit the ground (yay!) I was just flying over the ground! Donnie kept me in the middle of the tube, but I did a pretty good job keeping myself balanced and flying. On my second turn (I think they brilliantly plan for everyone to go twice. I can imagine everyone wants another try after one turn, so it is already built into the activity), Donnie and I flew high. We went up and down and around and down and up and around. That was the most fun for me. Louise liked spinning and I liked bouncing up and down.
Everyone but Keith chose to go a third time. The first trips were a minute, the third was 90 seconds. Ninety seconds is a LONG time. You wouldn’t think it, but believe me. It takes some strength to hold yourself and strength is not my thing. I still thought it was wonderful.
I give it all the points out of the points. You should try it!

WOW!!! Just….. WOW!!!!
YES!!!!
Cool!!!
It really was. Louise and Tom had done it before and loved it, so that gave me confidence!
