I originally wanted three days at DisneySea and only one day at Disneyland. I had heard that DisneySea is awesome (it is) and that it is huge (it is) and that it is the only park of its kind in the world (it is), so I didn’t want to miss out on any of it. Even given the huge crowds and long lines, I think we got it covered. We already had the ticket for it for today, so we couldn’t just not go, could we? Yes, we could.
Actually, we did go. We agreed that we couldn’t go early and stand in line for 90 minutes again in the morning. The only thing we wanted was to see if we could get a reservation for the store that sold the spirit jersey yesterday. There was no guarantee we could get a reservation, or that the jerseys would still be available. We slept until 8 and rolled into an empty pavillion outside DisneySea at 10. We went in, found out the reservations were gone, and left. We bought a ticket to Disneyland instead. Park tickets are about $60 – not nothing, but so much cheaper than in the US that they feel super cheap.

There is more to do at Disneyland and more things I like to do over and over. While on the monorail to the park, I discovered the left side of the Pacific Ocean right out the window. Cool.

We rode everything today, shopped in every store, ate the same lunch we had before, tried Japanese curry and rice for dinner, played all over Tom Sawyer’s Island and Toon Town, did the Jungle Cruise in Japanese (there was group clapping, and chanting, and laughing. We understood nothing. It was hilarious), watched the Electric Light Parade, and had a great day.

At one point about 5:00 we were tired and the wind was blowing hard (Keith tried telling me 17mph winds are not very windy. He was so not right) and we did not think we would make it until closing at 9. We went for dinner, came out and the wind was mostly gone. It was no longer trying to go right through us. What a great evening we had! We were on a ride until 9:06. We walked through stores on our way out, took the monorail, and we back in our room at 9:26. Terrific.

It’s amazing how familiar it all looks! There’s something to be said for consistency. But I AM disappointed about your not being able to get the jersey. Maybe there will be an alternate way to figure that out…
Keith bought it on eBay. It was more than we would have paid here, but not more than we would have paid for a jersey in the US, so win!!!
