We had a lovely breakfast with Regina and Brad before they left for a day in St. Paul and Minneapolis. We had about an hour to double check luggage before Dave picked us up for the airport. Super quick trip through security had us in the Escape lounge in less than 15 minutes.
We had a seat looking at the airplanes drive around. I texted Daniel, because of course I was thinking of him, and he told me all the facts about our plane, that a plane with Team America on it would be coming by, and what was on the menu in our lounge. He is all knowing.

I had such a a good meal, I had it twice. Little tasties were so good – perfect pickles, olives, cheese, and sausage – but the stand-out was the turkey, brie, and caramelized onion sammich. Wow. Just perfect. I ended up picking up a third one (they were only an inch wide) as we walked out. One should always notice when they are living their best life, and I did.

Keith upgraded us to economy comfort and they didn’t charge him. Don’t know why or how, but yay. Our seats were so much better than standard main. The person in the window seat woke us up to use the bathroom ( I had hoped she would go when we went and hour earlier), but, oh well. Not a problem until she didn’t come back. After 25 minutes I went to the back of the plane and she was stretching. I get that – but it was 2-2:30 am local time. I would have tried to sleep if I knew she wasn’t coming back. Then I felt bad for saying she should have told us. I was tired.
But why? Just because it was nap time at home. It’s only 11pm now and we’ve been in Amsterdam half an hour. Our flight to Bucharest is at 9:25. We’ve got time to nap in the lounge, and nap on the flight. I might get around getting hit by a bus!
