We went to Janesville today to buy a house. I was hungry so we stopped at Arby’s and they had a giant cow in the parking lot.
The closing was pretty simple – Keith signed his name once – and we had a house for Benjamin to live in. The seller lady apologized that she hadn’t cleaned anything. She did not apologize for taking the washer and dryer because “they were hers”. Fine print had not specified, so we left it as lesson learned.
My favorite part of the new house is these three pictures that were left nailed to the wall. I think I should redecorate the ugly bathroom at our house in superhero and use these as the focal point.
We met Gary and Julie in their town of Edgerton, only 20 minutes from Benjamin’s house. We had dinner at 2 Brothers restaurant and lingered for three hours chatting. Delightful.
We are back at Melanie and David’s tonight. Their son, Matthew, is here to care for the dogs. We just chatted over 2 hours – what a pleasant guy he is. It has been a number of years since we have seen him, so it was wonderful to bump into him 🙂
Nice house!!! A new washer and dryer will be okay anyway…. And a front door that ANYTHING can go in through!!!
