We flew home via Dublin, because Aer Lingus was half the price of Delta.
We’ve still never officially been to Ireland because we didn’t leave the airport, but it still felt fun to stop there. I had my best airplane meal ever – chicken breast with mushroom sauce and some light green stuff that had the consistency of mashed potatoes and tasted like peas. So good!!
Mushy peas!
That is what I called them but I have been served what were called mushy peas on a restaurant menu that were not this – they were basically just mashed peas. I am happy to hear that mushy peas are actually a real elevation of peas. Delicious!
Yep… Nancy nailed it – those are indeed mushy peas… We had those with fish and chips somewhere in Edinburgh. I’m kind of surprised that we haven’t had them again.

It does seem long – several trips in one. A boat, some Spain, Disneyland!
