We didn’t actually start the day with a twisty popsicle, except we basically did. We’d dropped our luggage off and had breakfast and walked to World of Adventure. It was a hot day – it was cold four days ago! I was ready for a cold treat.

We went to see Mickey and the Magic again, because I definitely slept through some before and it was air conditioned. They kept saying over the PA “Please stand up and fill in all available spaces.” while in the line. The people behind us purposefully put out backpacks and had their kids curl up for naps. We were 20 minutes from doors open. They were very crabby when they had to pick up their kids (three minutes later) when people were ready to fill in spaces. Beating that for stupid was an American guy who budged past us, saying he had to get to his daughter. He opened (and dropped) the ropes to go right through the handicapped line to the edge of the building. There was a decorative fence waving along about 4-5 feet high. His adult daughter and her three- or four-year-old were outside. His plan was for her to pass the child to him over the fence. I assume then the daughter would push her way up the line, or maybe she was going to scale the fence, too. One of the people near him was not having it. He told the guy it wasn’t going to happen. It was not safe. The guy stalked off. We saw him join his family outside, then not get into the end of the line. I guess if you can’t do it a crazy way, you don’t do it at all. My favorite part was that two sisters in matching fancy dresses picked up the ropes he just left on the ground and worked hard together to open the clips and reattach them. There is hope for the future.
Speaking of fancy dresses, I am going to miss the constant flow of little princesses walking around me. I love the ones that are just beaming with pride, carefully walking with their trains trailing, or holding up their gowns so as not to trip. I also love the ones that are running full tilt – tennis shoes showing with the dress hiked up – not noticing their finery at all.
And let’s not forget bubbles. The bubble blowing toys are very prevalent here and I love love love walking through the masses of bubbles. They are rarely held by a kid that knows what’s going on. It’s usually a little toddler that is quite happy about the bubbles but doesn’t realize they are coming from the thing in his hand. I danced in bubbles a couple times with slightly bigger kids who seemed to find me very strange. So be it.
We flew carpets over Agrabah.

We stopped by the Rapunzel Spin. We’d walked by quite a few times, but this time we stopped. We thought it was tea cups and didn’t think we could spin. IT WAS SO CUTE!!! So many lanterns! No one on the ride was spinning their boat. They were gently going in circles. We had to go gently in circles, too! Here are a lot of pictures, because I was having a really good time.

I took lots of pictures of us because it was our last day.

We saw Bob and Helen.

We went for a soda in the Frozen restaurant. It had a lot of seating because it serves Norwegian food.

My only goal of the day was to go on Pirates of the Caribbean. We walked over to Disneyland, got through the gate, found a short wall around some plantings (in the shade) and had a rest. Keith was learning about Ubers v Bolt v taxis and all the things, and I was flat. It was so great.

The window on the right was where we had dinner yesterday. (yesterday? A day)

After Pirates, we went onto Adventure Island. It has caves. Lots and lots and lots of caves. It is what I want caves to be. We played in there a long time. Keith followed me, because he always follows me. I was lost the entire time, which was my plan. He kept saying, “We’ve been here before,” and I would say, “You lead,” and he wouldn’t. We ended crossing the suspension bridge. I posed just like the kids in front of me.

I found and rubbed a lamp. I was very concentrating. I forgot to wish.

Never too many pictures of this

After dinner, we walked out and I had to go on a panic Small World. We were leaving (before the park closed!) (You have to pick up your luggage before 9pm. The park closes at 10:40) (yes, 10:40) and we had to RIDE!

Love Keith’s shirt. Looks better on him than it did on the hanger on the ship. That seems so long ago!
