New game(s)

Benjamin went home. It made me feel sad. I like when he is here. I like when the two of them are riding around in the back seat with the mom and the dad.

We went to Tom and Louise’s to play a new game that their friends invented. I expected it to be a card game, or maybe a dice game, but it was an actual game that you can buy from Games by James! It does involve cards, but not like a deck of cards – special cards very carefully designed. It is called Octagian and involves spelling words with letter cards from different numbered sets. Yeah. That made no sense. It is easy to learn and fun to play. I enjoyed it. (I remembered to take a picture after we cleaned up the game. Darn)

After that, they taught us a new card game called Escape. I liked it a lot! We didn’t keep score and it didn’t matter. It was loads of fun. I look forward to teaching my family during game night next Saturday.

I met with my bookless club this morning. They are such a special group of people to me. In addition to talking about the horror that is ICE in MN and how we are under siege, several members are dealing with big stuff in their lives. As you go on with your days, remember how much people can be going through and remember to be kind whenever you can.
