Our room had no hair dryer, so I used the fan. We had a great breakfast, visited the pretty chickens, and headed out to the House on the Rock.

It is so interesting that this guy just built a house up on a rock that he liked. He kept adding on.

He collected things he liked. Collection got bigger, house got bigger. He never had a job – just earned money through ticket sales and continued to expand. Julie wondered how much his collection was worth now. I think most of it would be worthless, because unless you have room for a room sized music box, who is going to buy it? (who has room for a room sized music box?!) On the other hand, it is priceless because this stuff just doesn’t exist anymore. I am very glad it exists in this crazy collection.

It wasn’t all music boxes – although I think we all liked those best. There were multiple carousels. And about a gazillion other things. I really like the GIANT whale being attacked by a giant squid.

We had tickets for the History Theater tonight, but didn’t think we would get back in time to use them. Friend Carla gave the show a mediocre review after seeing it last night, so the stress was off to hurry to make it, which was great. As it worked out, we were on the road in time to get home to eat a frozen pizza. Just as we were getting ready to walk out the door, it started to rain. Oh, wait. RAIN!!! We lingered because it was too much rain to drive in. We were standing in the garage, watching, when Benjamin pulled in.

We decided not to go to the play. First time for everything, I guess.
The rain came and went and there was one bit of thunder that almost knocked all three of us out of our chairs.
Benjin had a frozen pizza, too, and we spent a lovely evening chatting.
