Keith got asked to play West Side Story at Bethel University. Tonight was the first rehearsal. Graham from Metro Brass is playing third and a stranger is playing second. The stranger plays two levels too loud for every dynamic marking and is a rhythm approximater. Both of those are irritating. On a West Side Story pit orchestra, they may be disastrous. Fingers crossed it all gets better.
Fingers crossed that sitting between Keith and Graham will improve the stranger’s rhythmic accuracy–provided he can hear them.
