I woke up to my alarms this morning, then turned them off. I actually woke up a little after 11am. I got to sleep a little after 3am, so that was a decent sleep. I guess I should figure out which time zone my body is living in and just go there.
We went to see Disney’s Cars for its 20th anniversary. It is a great movie. Keith wore his Luigi’s Tires shirt. The only other people in the theater noticed it right away. Everyone knows that Keith adores this movie, but I really love it, too. Watching today I could find no flaws – wonderful. It might be my favorite PIXAR
movie. John Lasseter got cancelled in 2018 for allegations that I know nothing about/cannot begin to know what is true, but he sure helmed some great movies. Their movies since he left (Onward, Soul, Luca, Turning Red, Lightyear, Elemental, Inside Out 2, Elio, Hoppers) have been good, but none of them touched me like the early Pixar films. Twenty years later – after seeing Cars at least several times – I teared up a bunch of times and smiled so hard my face hurt. That is a good movie. Thanks Woodbury 10 for bringing it back to the theater for us to enjoy.
