Monday, December 15, 2025 We went to our first Tonic Sol-fa concert in April, only to find out it was their last tour. We enjoyed it SO much. They announced a very short (4 shows, I think) Christmas tour and we jumped on it. I am so glad we did. I am just smitten with

Sunday, December 14, 2025 Last night about midnight, our very smart thermostat sent Keith a message that said the house was 5° colder than it was set for. Mmm. Set to 60, but only 55. Why do furnaces wait until weekend – one with the coldest temperatures – and when we are out of town

Saturday, December 1, 2025 It was -4° when I got up this morning, but that didn’t seem cold enough, so we packed up and drove to Duluth. Ha! It’s -11° (feels like -34°) now, so we are winning. In a dumb way. The big lake was steaming. It looked cool. We went to see the

Friday, December 12, 2025 I’ve been busy with working the past two weeks. Keith had a gig tonight, so I was home alone. I could have done laundry. I could have cleaned up our bedroom. I could have done a lot of things. I played this Christmasy version of the watermelon game. A lot of

Thursday, December 11, 2025 Keith built my coworker (no, I don’t have a job) a table to set her mini fridge on so it can reach the outlet. He is a good guy.

December 10. 2025 Donna brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers on Thanksgiving, and they have been thriving. It was enough flowers to fill two vases. There were several lilies in the group, and they have slowly bloomed. It smells like Easter at our house, and it is wonderful.

Tuesday, December 9, 2025 We had super light fluffy snow the other night and I hypothesized that you could use a leaf blower to blow off your car – now that leaf blowers come in cordless. Keith put ours in the car for me to try. It started snow-globe snowing midafternoon and I had plenty

Monday, December 8, 2025 I worked at two different schools today, so I told Keith I needed to drive myself. He was all worried, which was sweet, but I thought I could do it. And I did. I seem to be able to see big spaces pretty well – close up isn’t nearly as good.

Sunday, December 7, 2025 Today was After Hours Big Band’s Christmas concert. It was good. Lots of unusual big band-y arrangements of Christmas music. The band was encouraged to wear a pop of color. Keith did a great job. He was the most festive. Most of the rest of them were wearing black. C’mon people.

Saturday, December 6, 2025 We went to Lyric Arts to see A Nice Family Christmas. I think I laughed out loud more at this play than at any other. It was Christmas Eve with a mom and her mom, two adult sons, daughter, daughter-in-law, and brother-in-law. Nothing in particular happened, but everything they said and
