Friday, August 14, 2026 After playing with Trooper and coloring my hair, Keith went to my friend’s house to fix the hole in the deck. I had volunteered him, and yesterday she said it seemed to be the best way forward. She was happy to wait, but Keith thought it would just be better to

Thursday, August 13, 2026 Carla and I went to Joyer Farms to see sunflowers today. There were lots of fun activities for kids to do. We decided we didn’t know why we didn’t own a place like this, because we would love to think up fun ways for families to have fun together outside. I

Wednesday, August 12, 2026 We met Mike and Mary at the Laurel Supper Club for dinner. Pictured is our steak for two – which could be called steak for two for two, as it will make another meal for us tomorrow. Absolutely delicious

Tuesday, August 11, 2026 Christina and her boys came over at 10 am for a great swimming day. We all came over to our house and had a picnic lunch of peanut butter sandwiches. They left about 2:00 and Keith came over to walk back and forth in the pool while I floated. Keith went

Saturday, August 8, 2026 Keith went to a band recording thing all day with a cookout evening, so I had the run of TWO houses today. Trooper and I hung out on the pool deck for a while in the morning. I threw the Frisbee once. He took it and hid it from me way

Friday, August 7, 2026 Maren and family have gone to The Cabin for a week. I volunteered to babysit Trooper the dog, because seriously, I am next door. Keith’s sister asked what kind of dog and I said dog-shaped with pointy ears. Trooper is not a walking dog; he is a backyard dog. He seems

Thursday, August 6, 2026 We went to Bloomington to see Artistry’s production of In the Heights. I have to be honest, I wasn’t interested in going at all. I have been really good at doing very, very little. It was no surprise that the show was good (they are a very good company) and I

Wednesday, August 5, 2026 Louise and I went to the theater to see the 1987 movie The Untouchables. I remembered it as a really good movie, but that was about all (and the baby carriage, I remembered that). The theater was full (except for the first row). There was a lot to worry about in
