Friday, February 13, 2026 Today was packing day. We don’t leave until Sunday, but I was determined to get everything done like we are leaving tomorrow. We have to leave very early Sunday, we have friends gathering for dinner tomorrow, as well as a show to go to tomorrow night. I need the suitcases done!

Tuesday, February 10, 2026 I had my eyes dilated two days in a row. The cataract surgery people called and had an appointment for me this afternoon. The doctor was really nice. She concurred I need surgery. Then we had a weird conversation about what would I like her to improve in my vision. Like?

Monday, February 9, 2026 I had my three-month post retina surgery appointment today. The report is that my retina is perfect, but the big blurry that is my vision in my left eye is because I need cataract surgery. Huh. I was told that retina surgery increases the chances of cataracts, but I assumed that
