I never read this strategy in the simple living/downsizing articles on the internet. If you bump a glass and it slides right off of the counter and smashes on the ground, you can easily decide not to keep it anymore.
We saw Naked Gun today. I laughed. Keith laughed. We earned a rewards points banana pudding in a jar. It was okay, but seriously tiny. A shake would have been a far better choice.
That glass has died, and has gone straight to Hell, for some reason.
