Ft. Lauderdale

Maren took us to the airport, again. She is an awfully nice neighbor. The trip takes no time as we chat and leave Keith in the backseat.

Our flight wasn’t until 7, so we had a soda and mashed potatoes in the lounge. I also had a few dry Froot Loops. The people next to us were discussing their nephew who got stopped by the police for taking his parents’ car and driving without a license. When he turns 16 his mother is making him wait a month to get his license as punishment. These people think she is being extreme. The 21 year old niece (cousin of driver) said she did it all the time when she was 15. They agreed as long as he wasn’t drinking, it was no biggie.

Um.

I surmised underage drinking is no biggie, either, as long as you aren’t illegally driving, too.

Um.

They went away to Las Vegas. Buh-bye…

We stepped out into humid 80° at ten after midnight to wait for our shuttle. It took about 20 minutes and there were two steady streams of traffic going by the entire time – not to mention ten different shuttles. Midnight! I wonder what it is like mid-day. Oof.

Keith just got a message from the front door camera at home. Pet spotted! Or maybe more correctly, nature spotted!
