I do Duolingo every day. Most of the time I do German. I did a little Spanish, but that petered out. I tried Welsh and French, but, oh no. Not for me. I did a lot of math, but when I got to calculus I was lost. I did music! My lack of time is staggering even to me, who knows that I have terrible time. I am also bad at music in other ways I won’t admit to publicly, but Duolingo found them and I failed. So, mostly I do German. Can I speak German? Nope. I guess I have while traveling, when push came to shove, but usually I just blank completely. Can I understand it? Quite a bit. Can I read it? Even a bit more.
Why do I keep doing it? Well…it is a streak… but I also think it’s good to try to learn…and better than just scrolling on my phone.
