So many good times

People staying at Disney hotels get in an hour earlier than regular people. We got up early. We took showers. We found a major flaw in our cute hotel. The shower water goes from SCALDING to FREEEEEZING with no warning. Oh. It was bad. Keith heard me making little schrieks and came to help. I washed and he turned the shower head away when it was a bad temperature (which was most of the time). Apparently it is a frequent complaint about this place. DARN!

We went to breakfast (included) and joined the mob. This is a really big (cheapest Disney) hotel and everyone wanted to get in on early Magic time. My medicine has me really nauseated, so I ate a little bit of applesauce 🤦‍♀️ The food looked good, varied, and plentiful!

We walked to the new park – right next to Disneyland – Adventure World. It used to be a Hollywood Studio mini park. They built an Avenger campus, Frozen land, expanded their Cars area, kept Toy Story land and are working on a Lion King pride land. There are lots of other bits still there, like Tower of Terror, Ratatouille, and Crush’s coaster.

Crush and the Frozen ride always have the longest wait times. Our goal was to get on Crush during EMT, but we arrived at 8:45 and it was 60 minutes. Pretty expected at that point. We rode Ratatouille for the first time since they took the 3D glasses away. As irritating as those glasses were, the ride is not as good without them.

Frozen was 70 minutes but advertised a 10-minute single Rider line. It is all the way in the back of the park, and we really enjoyed checking out everything new. We each had horrible people in our boats. Stop talking and stop with your phone, people!!

They outdid themselves with the Frozen merchandise. Wow! I was really impressed and really enjoyed looking!!

We had lunner at 3:15 at Chez Remy. I loved it!! The restaurant was adorable. Here are a bunch of pictures!

The food was killer! I had bearnaise sauce with my steak, and Keith tried green peppercorn sauce. Green peppercorn sauce was incredible. YAY!!!!!!

We went to Mickey learns magic show that was kinda similar to the Believe show on the boat. It was very good – they know how to put on a show – and Keith woke me up about 9 times.

We went to Disneyland for the laser/fireworks show. We found the last decent spot behind a landscape fence (no one can get right in front of you) TWO hours before the show and I plunked myself down to wait. TWO HOURS. Who am I?!!

I’m still sitting here on the ground now as people fill in around me. It’s almost 10pm and the show starts at 10:40 (22:40). My butt is flat and cold. (TMI)

OH MY! I forgot about the miracle! I MANIFESTED a sweatshirt! I saw a jersey I wanted online and hoped it would be here. It was not. We have enjoyed the looking, but I didn’t find one that spoke to me. Then we went into a little shop in the France Remy area and there was my shirt!! It was 50% off!!!! I was so excited!! I am so excited!!!

The POTD is from walking in this evening past the LEGO store. I’ve seen tons of kids climbing on this, but these people just made me happy. I said to Keith, “I’m going to make these people wave at me.” I waved and the man waved back. The lady thought I was silly.

Both desserts. The cheese was at the next table. The menu said Fromage Blanc- raspberry entremet. Huh. It appeared to be cheesecakey in texture and had a dark filling, one assumes raspberry. My Gusteau’s dessert changes frequently so I was inclined to try it. The bottom was a pastry filled cake – not choux – more Napoleon, then a piece of hardisg caramel, then a something delicious little topper with cream. Keith had a lemon meringue tart that puckered my face.

I didn’t, but there is still time. They also have one that sits on your shoulder that seems MN forward. I thought I could wear him most of the year…
