Tuesday, February 3, 2026 I had book club today with my politically minded friends. I suggested to Keith yesterday that we get out our button maker and make buttons of the rebel loon for everyone. The we in that sentence is really just Keith. He has to find the art on the computer and figure

Monday, February 2, 2026 Happy Groundhog Day! We just finished watching the movie – it is the best. We had French Onion Soup with Alexander for dinner. I feel like we haven’t seen him forever. We eat early when he comes, because he is hungry. He and I had after-dinner naps. It was very nice.

Sunday, February 1, 2026 We have lots of season tickets, which are great because you can change dates when you need to. At the Phipps, you can also change shows if you need to. When we scheduled all of our travel for the next few months, we had to move quite a few dates to

Saturday, January 31, 2026 We are apparently not very good at having our kid have a problem. I had Benjamin moving home and Keith woke up at 4:30am thinking about the busted pipe. Then he started worrying about the fact that the shut off valves for our outdoor spigots are sheetrocked over. He got up

Friday, January 30, 2026 You would think given the number of roller coasters we have ridden, we would have thought that the play’s title referred to a ride, but we both thought of weather. Huh. It was a roller coaster. It broke and everybody died in the first five minutes of the show. I didn’t

Thursday, January 29, 2026 I was inexplicably not tired today. Three days of doing nothing must fill up the reserves. I woke up a couple minutes before my 6am alarm and everything. Keith was already awake. It was weird. It felt good to be at work – normal. Unfortunately, I had jerky kids all day

Wednesday, January 28, 2026 I woke up to Keith saying our flight was delayed 90 minutes. Uh oh. Will we make our connection in Dallas?Yes. Our plane from Dallas to Minneapolis is the same plane as the one we are taking from LA to Dallas. It can’t leave without us. We are so lucky. Keith

Tuesday, January 27, 2026 We continued our warm leisure today. We had lunch on the sun deck and dinner pizza in front of the TV. I sat and read on a lounge chair in the warm air under some clouds. It could not have been nicer.

Monday, January 26, 2026 I’d like to go on record saying that I actually did write a brief POTD before I fell asleep last night, but Keith didn’t know it until after he did it himself. I thought he did a better job than I did, so win for everyone. There was a plan for

Sunday, January 25, 2026 Barbara fell asleep early tonight, so it’s Keith with a brief report of the day. We woke up early to send Benjamin off with an Uber to LAX airport to fly home. Things started almost on schedule (8:11am departure rather than 8:00) and arrival in Detroit almost a half-hour early. But
