Saturday, September 27, 2025 After floating this afternoon, there was college football. Apparently, you can watch college football games even if you don’t care who wins. Very interesting. People (David and Michael) can watch just for the football itself. It was fun when they exploded at the same the time: Nooooo! Auuuughhh! Yessss!. Did you

Friday, September 26, 2025 My parents were married 72 years ago today. It was a hot day. I wasn’t there, but I heard it was. Happy anniversary memories to us all. Michael and David rode their motorcycles up through Wisconsin to see us. We met Alexander for fish fry at Obb’s in St. Paul. I

Thursday, September 25, 2025 This spider was in our backyard. He was very large. I was not a big fan. He had a pretty web, though. Now he is gone. I hope he is not in my house, because then I would have to move. There was a spider in my classroom today. I was

Wednesday, September 24, 2025 I went to see the Grand Finale of Downton Abbey. It was like visiting old friends – so good to see them all. The story was unsurprising and yet still delightful to me. The clothes were wonderful. I think it was a very fan-pleasing movie. I loved it.

Tuesday, September 23, 2025 I decided we should clean up the garage today. We have not done anything about half of it being filled with boxes since we dragged the last bits of stuff over from next door in May. Monday, September 22, 2025 Keith dropped Levi and Emma at the airport early Thursday morning and scooped them up tonight. Their flight was delayed because of thunderstorms and they rocked and rolled the whole way here. They were quite smiley about the whole thing – kudos to them! I do not like rocking and rolling

Sunday, September 21, 2025 Benjamin has an annual pass for Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks. He is a good rider. He goes places. When I found out he could get $20 bring-a-friend tickets, I was in. Alexander was in. Last night he realized if he renewed his pass, he got someone in for free.

Saturday, September 20, 2025 It was Rachel’s wedding today! Huzzah! It was beautiful and it was funny. Each of the four people who did readings gave a little speech talking about how they knew Tyler or Rachel and each speech was funnier than the last. I absolutely loved it. The wedding had a Lord of

Friday, September 19, 2025 Our room had no hair dryer, so I used the fan. We had a great breakfast, visited the pretty chickens, and headed out to the House on the Rock. It is so interesting that this guy just built a house up on a rock that he liked. He kept adding on.

Thursday, September 18, 2025 We met Gary and Julie (the MN ones) at Frank Lloyd Wright’s house, Taliesin, for the start of our anniversary year gathering with them. I am a big fan of FLW’s work (who isn’t?), but have never been here. His architectural ideas were very interesting – he was all about gathering
